Issue Details

I am trying to communicate with my instrument via GPIB and am getting Error 14: Cannot Add Resource. How can I fix this problem?

Solution

This issue is caused but not entering the proper address for your GPIB device.
Please consult this document to learn how to properly address the device if you are using it as a VISA resource.
If you are only using a IEEE 488.2 function such as GPIB Write or Read, then the addressing of that device will follow this format .
