Issue Details

The digital signal I am using is not an absolute stable frequency, so  I cannot directly set a constant frequency number. Can I still us it as a source for my Sample Clock function in LabVIEW?

Solution

You can use the digital source as a source for the Sample Clock. The Sample Clock function in LabVIEW will take the source and reference that clock throughout the application. Any triggering or edge counts can be done too but might be limited due to the inconsistency.

If you are not using an absolute stable frequency then be sure to verify any limiting factors before collecting data.
