Issue Details

I see from this KB that the cDAQ-9178 is compatible with the cDAQ-913X NI Linux Real-Time (RT) Controllers. How do I configure and program the USB cDAQ chassis?

Solution

After installing the NI-DAQmx driver onto your Real-Time target, you should be able to see the USB cDAQ under the cDAQ-913X NI Linux RT controller in NI MAX:

To program the modules, add the target to a LabVIEW project. Next connect to the Real-Time target and add a new VI. You will be able to access the USB cDAQ as usual in DAQmx (to find examples, go to Help >> Find Examples >> Browse >> Hardware Input and Output >> DAQmx) :

Additional Information

Not all 913X controllers are NI Linux RT. Consult this OS Compatibility document to make sure your controller runs NI Linux RT.
