Is it possible to use a CompactRIO Single-Board Controller (sbRIO) with NI C-Series Modules? If so, how can I do so?

Solution

Yes, a majority of sbRIO controllers have support for C Series modules. The following sbRIO controllers are all compatible with C Series modules: 
  • sbRIO-9603
  • sbRIO-9605
  • sbRIO-9606
  • sbRIO-9608
  • sbRIO-9609
  • sbRIO-9623
  • sbRIO-9626
  • sbRIO-9607
  • sbRIO-9627
  • sbRIO-9628
  • sbRIO-9629

Note: Not every C Series module can be used with a sbRIO controller. See CompactRIO Single-Board Controller Module Compatibility for more information.

Note: To use a C Series module with your controller, you will need to purchase a RIO Mezzanine Card that contains C Series slots. This board will connect directly to the RMC connector on the sbRIO controller.
