Issue Details

I'm using a Real-Time Controller and after configuring it I getting the error message:

Please check your network adapter configurations, Error code -302016 protocol on boot

How can I solve it?

Solution

To solve this issue:

1. Open MAX (Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI MAX)
2. On the left-hand tree, expand the Remote Systems branch.
3. Select the target and set a different static IP address or active DHPC. To do so, click on the remote target in MAX, open the Network Settings tab, and choose Static under Configure IPv4 Address.

4. Click Save to save the settings to the controller.
5. Restart your controller clicking the Restart button in MAX.

Additional Information

Note: This error appears when any network adapter cannot obtain an IP address, either static or DHCP.  If you have a controller with two or more network adapters, this message may continue to appear unless all are assigned static addresses.  This error does not interfere with the operation of the controller, as long as at least one network adapter is able to communicate with the host computer.
