Issue Details

I'm using the LabVIEW NXG sound nodes to get the signal from a microphone, but the program is not receiving the signal even though I have verified that the microphone is reading correctly.

Solution

In order for LabVIEW NXG to be able to read the data from a microphone with these nodes it is necessary for the device to be properly recognized and enumerated  by the operating system, in Windows this can be verified by opening the device manager and verifying that the microphone is properly recognized in the Audio inputs and outputs section.

Additional Information

The compatible sound devices will be referenced in LabVIEW NXG through a device ID, and these will start from 0 to n-1, with n being the total number of compatible devices, if an number is used that is not within range the program will return an error.
