Can LabVIEW Ethernet/IP Interface with Allen-Bradley 1734-AENT?

Issue Details

I am trying to communicate with the Allen-Bradley 1734-AENT. Can I do this using the LabVIEW Ethernet/IP Toolkit?

Solution

LabVIEW cannot communicate with the 1734-AENT, since both can only function as Ethernet/IP Adapters. This means that they both can only provide data to devices that act as Scanners, which open connections and initiate transfers of data.
