Issue Details

I have a NI-Motion card installed in a Remote Machine (RT PXI or RT PC). I had previously mapped it to my local machine, but it now appears in NI MAX with a red 'X'. How do I fix this?

Solution

  • Try re-mapping the NI-Motion card to the Host Machine.
  • If the mapping is unsuccessful, ensure that the Remote Machine is detected in NI MAX.
  • If the card has a red 'X' under the remote machine, try the card in a different slot.
  • Reinstall NI-Motion.
  • If all of this fails, try the card in a Windows computer (with NI-Motion installed) directly and observe if it gets detected and operates as expected. If it does not, the card may be damaged.
