High Speed Digital Calibration Requirements

Updated Dec 16, 2025

Issue Details

I can see from the National Instruments calibration page that 655x devices can be calibrated; however, the 653x, 654x, 656x, and 658x devices cannot. When will calibration for these devices be available, or do they not require calibration?

Solution

The 653x, 654x, 656x, and 658x devices do not require calibration. Through design, testing, and validation over many variances in temperature, the timing circuitry is guaranteed not to drift out of specification.
The same applies to the voltage calibration of the 654x devices. Although voltage levels can be changed to be compatible with different logic families, they should not drift out of specification and does not require calibration.
