Solution
This behavior is expected if you have activated your software license using an Activation Code or a Disconnected License. The Activation Wizard does not return an error but the Status of your software in NI License Manager shows as
Activated for a different computer and, after you launch your software, it is not licensed.
If you want to activate
a single-seat license, generate a new Activation Code for activation. Follow the steps from
Activate NI Software Without Internet Connection.
If you are
installing a disconnected license from a
Volume License server provided by your Software Administrator, refer to
Red Exclamation Point for Disconnected License in NI License Manager and contact your Software Administrator to correct your Computer ID in the licensing server and generate a new disconnected license file.
If you have
changed your Computer ID and use the same Activation Code as before, this error will show up. In this case, visit
My NI Software License Keeps Deactivating for troubleshooting steps.
This Status message shows up when a wrong Computer ID is used to generate an activation code for a single-seat license or a disconnected license from a Volume License Agreement. Visit
Finding Unique NI Computer ID for Activation and Licensing for more information. For technical assistance,
contact NI Support.
