Issue Details

I'm running a TestStand sequence and noticing that, when a certain step fails, the sequence still passes. Why would this happen?

Solution

If you have not edited any engine or process model callbacks, the most likely reason that you would see this behavior is that you have unchecked the Step Failure Causes Sequence Failure checkbox on this step. This option is found in the Step Settings for the step in the Properties tab under the Run Options panel.

If you think that you may have edited an engine or process model callback, try looking in the Sequences pane for the callback that has been edited and check to make sure that the results list or sequence settings aren't being altered.
