Issue Details

  • I would like to use a custom handler/prober inside of TestStand Semiconductor Module (TSM). I have configured my Handler/Prober Mode  to my custom handler but I don't see in the process model where my handler sequences are being called. Where are my handler sequences being called?

Solution

In order to see where the handler/prober callbacks occur first open the process model for your sequence file by double clicking the Model cell below you sequence editor:

Inside of  BatchModel.seq there are multiple calls to the model plugin (see image below). In the figure above the BatchModel is being used but the sequence model plugin calls are the same sequences used in the sequential process model:

When a model plugin is called in the process model when using TSM the sequence file that is referenced is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2016\Components\Models\ModelPlugins\NI_SemiconductorModule_Core.seq for Teststand 32-bit and :\Program Files \National Instruments\TestStand 2016\Components\Models\ModelPlugins\NI_SemiconductorModule_Core.seq for TestStand 64-bit. This is the sequence that contains all the sequence callbacks used by the process model when calling a model plugin. Inside of the model plugin sequences inside of this sequence file you will be able to see the explicit calls to your handler/prober sequences:

Additional Information

For more information about the specific callbacks available to your customer handler/prober please refer to the Handler and Prober Support help documentation.
