Solution

If your are trying to used your PXI controller behind a firewall check the Configuring Software and Hardware Firewalls to Support National Instruments Products and be sure the server ports used by MAX Hardware Identification and LabVIEW Real-Time (Deploying and Debugging VI's) product are configured correctly.

It the issue persists, please follow the steps:

3. If the previous option doesn't work, try to format the device with a USB drive Using a Utility USB Drive to Format my Real-Time PXI Controller.

4. If after reinstalling the software the issue is present again, please consider to send the controller to NI as Retutn Merchandise Authorization (RMA). To begin the RMA process, generate an online Service Request by going to the Service Request Manager at www.ni.com/ask and fill out the required fields until you get your Service Request number and phone number to call.
