Error -1074135025 When Running an IVI Example in LabVIEW

Issue Details

I am using an IVI example VI in LabVIEW. Whenever I try to run one of the VIs in the IviClass.llb library, LabVIEW throws Error -1074135025 with the message, "Primary Error: (Hex 0xBFFA000F) Invalid parameter." like below. What is causing this?


This error occurs when you run one of the IVI example VIs in LabVIEW without first configuring an IVI logical name to use. Logical names specify how you want LabVIEW to communicate with your simulated or physical device.

In order to use the example VIs that are installed with the IVI Compliance Package, you must:
  1. Configure an IVI logical name in Measurement & Automation Explorer. Please reference the Developer Zone Tutorial in the Related Links section of this document for instructions on how to do this.
  2. Select an appropriate logical name in the IVI Logical Name control on the front panel of the IVI example VI before you run it. An IVI example front panel is shown below.
