Backplane Connectors on PXI Card Not Soldered

Issue Details

I have a PXI-2584 module. The backplane connectors on the card do not seem to be soldered in. Is it normal? Can I use it this way? Do I have a counterfeit card?

Solution

The backplane connectors on most of the PXI cards are not soldered but press-fit connectors. This technology does not use solder to fix the connectors to the circuit board, but they are pushed into the PCB by force.
