Issue Details

I am using a differential source to trigger my Camera Link camera to acquire an image. How should I set this up?

Solution

If your frame grabber has an encoder input (such as the PCIe-1427), you can wire the trigger source into the Phase A ± or the Phase B ± inputs. You will then want to configure your camera to look for an external trigger source. The frame grabber will then look for a trigger signal from either the TTL trigger lines, or from the Phase A/B lines.

You can find information on the pin mappings for the Phase A/B lines in the user manual for your specific card.
