Issue Details

How do I apply the DC Voltage Accuracy table on page 3 of the NI PXIe-4080 Specs to my readings?

Solution

To apply the table, you need to change the PPM values into voltages. For example:

I have a PXIe-4080 that will be used for 2 years within ± 5 degrees C of the temperature it was self calibrated to, and I am measuring 6 Volts.

Accuracy = DC Voltage ± (ppm of reading + ppm of range)
                 = 6 V ± {(25/10^6) * 6V + (6/10^6) * 10V]
                 = 6V ± 0.21 mV
