EPICS Client in PC Does Not Connect With EPICS Server in cRIO

Issue Details

I have followed the Interactively Configuring EPICS I/O Servers example and it works perfectly when client and server are hosted in my PC. However, when I create the server in the cRIO, there is no connection between variables. If I have a look at the Distributed System Manager, I can see that the variables in the server are updating properly, but there is Communication Failure message in the client variables.

Solution

When configuring the EPICS Client, is very important to name the records with the same names generated by the Server.

1) Check the names of the Process Variables generated by the Server I/O

2) Name the Records with the same name

Additional Information

Note: Once the variables in the client are bound to the process variables, the path to the binding variable does not update if the name of the process variable changes.

If this happens, we can see process variables under the EPICS client updating in the Distributed System Manager but shared variables show No Known Value message.
