"No Adapter Was Found For EtherCAT On This NI Real-Time Controller" Adding EtherCAT Master In LabVIEW Project

Issue Details

I have installed NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT and NI-RIO on my cRIO Controller. 
I have configured the adapter in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX): Ethernet adapter is configured to EtherCAT mode.


When I try to Add EtherCAT Master to my LabVIEW Project a error occurs:


How can I fix it?
 

Solution

Check the Compatibility between NI-Industrial Communicatons for EtherCAT and NI-RIO.

In the previous screenshot you realize the version NI-Industrial Communicatons for EtherCAT is 17.0 and NI-RIO 18.0, they are not compatible; review the NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT and NI-RIO Compatibility

 

Additional Information

For LabVIEW versions before 2017, the error is called as shown:
"The EtherCAT master adapter does not exist on the target controller"
