Issue Details

I saw in the node documentation that the batteries in my WSN-3226 should last up to 3 years. How do I guarantee it?

  • With operational power on the order of 300mW, WSN end nodes can operate for up to 3 years on their internal 4 AA batteries, or indefinitely with the use of energy harvesting devices.
  • The WSN can be used as an end node or as a router. Using as an end node will save energy consumption because the node only awakes when it needs to execute some action.
  • WSN measurement nodes are based on events. They are programmable through LabVIEW in order to use battery in a more efficient way.
  • Make sure you are using AA 1.5 V alkaline or lithium batteries. The WSN-3226 User Guide recommends some specific batteries you can use.
