Issue Details

I'm about to go out to the field to work on an embedded cDAQ controller. What options do I have to connect to the controller? Can I connect to it without being on the network?

Solution

  • If your controller is not on the network, you will need to connect a monitor, mouse, and keyboard to the controller and interface with it in that way.
  • If the controller is on the network, you can remote into the controller as long as both the computer and the controller is on the same network.

Additional Information

Unlike a cRIO, you cannot directly plug the controller into a computer via USB or Ethernet cable in order to interface with it.
