Can I Use an SHC68-68-RMIO Instead of A SHC68-68-RDIO2 Cable?

Issue Details

I have an R series card that is recommended to use a SHC68-68-RDIO2 cable with but I want to use the SHC68-68-RMIO cable for the form factor.  Is it possible to use the RMIO in place of the RDIO2?

Solution

No, there are differences in architecture, pin-out, and bundling that will not allow these cables to be swapped and work correctly.
