Issue Details

I have a PCIe-8236 Frame Grabber device. The card has two Ethernet ports. I want to use one of them to acquire images from a GigE Vision camera and the other one as a conventional Ethernet port to connect to a local area network.
Is it possible?

Solution

Yes it is. The NI 8236 provides two standard Gigabit Ethernet ports (Port 0 and Port 1) to acquire images from GigE Vision cameras.
Since these port support the IEEE 802.3 standard you can use it in networks with this physical layer.

Additional Information

The PCIe-8236 is supporting 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T communication standards on an RJ45 interface.
Please refer to the User Guide and Specifications linked below.
