Issue Details

I have both VeriStand 2017 and 2015 installed on my host computer. When I deploy my System Definition File onto my Real Time PXI target Using VeriStand 2017, I get the Error 4 saying that "Connection with target Controller has been lost". The same System Definition File succesfully deploys onto the same PXI target using VeriStand 2015.

Why can I deploy my System Definition File from Veristand 2015 to my target while and not from VeriStand 2017?

Solution

Before deploying your System Definition File on your target, you should make sure that you already installed the correct version of the VeriStand Engine on your target. The version of VeriStand on the host computer should be the same as the VeriStand Engine version on your target. For example, if you want to deploy a VeriStand 2017 project into the target, you need to have VeriStand Engine 2017 installed on your target.

Additional Information

To check the software versions installed on your Host or Target, you can use NI MAX as explained here.
