Not Logging TDMS Files from NI Measurement And Automation Explorer (MAX) Tasks

Issue Details

I have created a temperature/strain/voltage task in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (NI MAX) and I´m receiving the expected measurements. During the task conguration I want to enable Enable TDMS Logging checkbox in Logging tab. When I configure File Path and run my task I don't see any data file generated.



Why is this happening?

Solution

This configuration is added to the task however, NI-MAX doesn´t have the capability to generate the TDMS Files.

Use a development environment like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or DAQExpress to log data in TDMS Files from a task.

NI MAX is designed, among other things, to debug and configure devices in your computer but is not designed for quick measurements.
