Can I Generate a PWM Signal Using USB 6000?

Issue Details

I have a USB 6000 and I would like to know if it is possible to generate PWM signals with this device.

Solution

  • It is not possible to generate hardware timed PWM signals with the USB 6000.
  • It is possible to generate software timed PWM 

Additional Information

  • Counters are needed to generate hardware timed PWM signals. USB 6000 device has a counter, but is oriented to edge counting.
  • Software timed PWM signals are less accurate and the frequencies that can be reached are lower, are they are not based on a hardware clock
