Issue Details

I want access and log data from an OBD-II database, from DIAdem. Is this possible and if yes what software will I need?

Solution

Yes you are able to access and log data from an OBD-II database using DIAdem. To do so you will need the following software:
  1. A version of DIAdem with the DIAdem DAC extension
  2. The Automotive Diagnostics and Control Set (ADCS) Toolkit

Additional Information

The functionality for accessing the OBD-II database is in-built in DIAdem. However, to be able to dynamically log data from within DIAdem you will need the DIAdem DAC extension. Additionally, to be able to access the OBD-II driver you will need the Automotive Diagnostics and Control Toolkit.

As the ADCS 15 version of the toolkit is the latest one, this is not directly supported in LabVIEW 16 and later. However, as the functionality is built in the DIAdem environment the version conflict between the ADCS toolkit and DIAdem will not affect the functionality of the software.
