Can I Activate LabVIEW for Linux Using a LabVIEW for Windows Serial Number or Reverse?

Issue Details

I have purchased a LabVIEW license for Windows Operating System. Can I activate LabVIEW on Linux OS using the same Serial Number or reverse?

Solution

Beginning January 2022, NI software moved to subscription-based licenses.

LabVIEW Full and Professional subscriptions allow you to use LabVIEW on supported versions of Windows and Linux.

In case you own an "old" perpetual license, you can not activate LabVIEW for Linux using a LabVIEW for Windows Serial Number or reverse. Consider creating a Windows Virtual Machine (VM) or submit a request for changing your license type by contacting your local distributor or NI Software Operations Team at services@ni.com email address.
