Issue Details

I'm currently trying to wire a decoder to the seven-segment display on my NI Digital Electronics FPGA Board and it won't light up to display the output of the decoder. I've been using external seven-segment displays that work as expected, what could be causing this problem?

Solution

Once you've confirmed that the rest of your circuit is working as expected:

1. Connect the power supply to the NI Digital Electronics FPGA board
2. Turn on the power switch on the NI Digital Electronics FPGA board (seen on page 16 of the user manual)
3. Ensure that the COM terminals (Com0, Com1) are connected to the ground of your circuit

Additional Information

The terminals of the seven-segment displays are accessed through BB3 section on the breadboard.
