Error -1073807339 on NI 9870 Using DTR/DSR Flow Control

Issue Details

I am using a device that uses DTR/DSR handshaking with my NI 9870. However, when the instrument VI tries to talk to the instrument via flow control, it returns the error: -1073807339

 

Solution

NI 9870 does not support DTR/DSR flow control, hence it will return an error. However, it can be implemented using DTR State and DSR State properties. Note that if Hardware (RTS/CTS) flow control is used, the RTS State write property cannot control the RTS state. The default is None.
