Solution

This error is hardware related, and error can occur even after the hardware setup has been functioning correctly. A possible cause may be a power surge or an excess of voltage being passed through the PCI bus.

Possible solution:
  • Re-install the card in the same slot
  • Switch the card from the current PCI slot to another working slot in the computer
  • Some PCs have a removable backplane for the PCI slots. Try to replace the backplane: a BIOS update may be required.
