Procedure Entry Point Error with NIHWDBDD.dll When Opening LabVIEW

Issue Details

Whenever I open a LabVIEW project or VI, I get the error:  
The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library NIHWDBDD.dll

Solution

This error may be caused by a corruption in this NI-MAX dll. Try the following steps to resolve the corruption:
  • Replace the dll with the same dll from another computer that uses the same version of DAQmx and NI-MAX that is not seeing the error. This may require you to disable any programs or services that are using this dll. The dll can be found in the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\MAX\Data Dictionaries
  • Force Reinstall DAQmx
