Can’t Find Vision Builder API Functions After NI Vision Builder Automated Inspection (AI) Install in LabVIEW

Issue Details

I recently installed LabVIEW and NI Vision Builder Automated Inspection (AI). I want to use Vision Builder API functions for programmatically calling and executing complete Vision Builder AI inspections from within LabVIEW. But I didn't find the functions inside Vision and Motion palette.

Why can’t LabVIEW find my Vision Builder AI palette ?

Solution

Generally this happens because we didn't select some option when installing NI software.
Therefore, start again the install process through your media (CD or USB) or downloaded file.
Make sure you choose the feature called LabVIEW API Support during NI Vision Builder AI install process, as shown below.
This option installs support for creating LabVIEW applications which communicate with the Vision Builder AI engine.
