Why do I get the following message in LabVIEW when closing out of LabVIEW?

Resetting VI: (VI name)
Feed_link.lvclass:
UpdateFeedCache.vi:(#)

Solution

The "UpdateFeedCache.vi" is related to LabVIEW looking for online content updates. The number at the end indicates how many clones of that VI are currently open. You will most often see this message when the computer is not connected to the internet, and LabVIEW is looking for online content. If you wish to know more about the "Resetting VI: (VI name)" portion of the message, visit Causes of "Resetting VI" Message in LabVIEW

If you wish to prevent LabVIEW from retrieving web content, do the following:
  1. In LabVIEW, go to Tools»Options
  2. Select the New and Changed category and check Disable ni.com updates in Getting Started window
  3. Press OK
