Issue Details

I have written a program in LabWindows/CVI that calls the FileSelectPopupEx command, the command seems to take 10 or 15 seconds to actually pop up the dialog box for selecting a file. Why does this happen?

Solution

If you are running in Debugging and not as a released executable, the FileSelectDialogEx command will sometimes throw many non-fatal errors or warnings and this debugging output can slow down the execution.

To alleviate the wait, you can run the program as a released executable or try to prevent the non-fatal errors from being displayed.
