SystemLink Log File Locations for Troubleshooting

Issue Details

I am running into unexpected behavior while using SystemLink. Are there troubleshooting logs and where are they located?

Solution

There are SystemLink logs located on both the SystemLink Server and the SystemLink Clients. The location of all the logs is included below:

SystemLink Server Logs
  • Skyline Logs: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Skyline\Logs
  • Salt Logs: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\salt\var\log\salt\master

SystemLink Client Logs
  • Salt Logs:
    • (Windows) C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\salt\var\log\salt\minion 
    • (Linux RT) /var/log/salt/minion
