Issue Details

I want to configure an I/O Server (Modbus, EPICS, OPC, etc) on my Real-Time Target. When I try to deploy it I receive the following error: 
Error: -1967357950 OS and Network Services: (Hex 0x8ABC8002) The I\O Server is not setup in MXS. The first time the "Network Variable Engine" service launches it will do so. Please verify that the "Network Variable Engine" service is running.

Solution

For instance, if you want to use the Modbus I/O server or the EPICS server, then the following software should be installed:

  • If you are using the EPICS I/O server with the new Linux RT images (instead of legacy cRIO images), there is a known issue (CAR 1210853) with versions prior to 20.7. Update your Linux RT image to solve this issue.
