Issue Details

There is a run button available on the execution toolbar in the Sequence Editor of TestStand. How can I change the functionality of this button from TestUUTs to SinglePass?

Solution

By default, the Run button on the execution toolbar of the Sequence Editor is configured to execute the first Execution Entry point in the process model that has been enabled for the Sequence file that you are trying to run.

For example, for Sequence file TestSeq.seq, if you have set the process model as the default Sequential Process model, the functionality for the run button will be of the TestUUTs execution entry point. To modify this follow the below mentioned steps -
  1. Open the process model configured for the sequence file for which you want to modify the functionality of the run button.
  2. Drag the SinglePass execution entry point above TestUUTs and save the file. Now the first execution entry point listed in the process model file will be SinglePass and the Run button will use this functionality.
Kindly note, since you will be editing the process model, it is recommended that you first create a copy of the C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2016\Components\Models\TestStandModels\SequentialModel.seq and paste it at C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2016 (32-bit)\Components\Models. Edit the file  that you have pasted in the Public Directory and use this as the process model for your sequence file.
