Vision Acquisition Software License for Unused IMAQdx Executable

Issue Details

My software installer includes several executables. One of the executables utilizes the IMAQdx driver, which is included in the Vision Acquisition Software license. The other executables do not use the IMAQdx driver.
 

If the deployment computer will not run the executable that uses the IMAQdx driver, do I need to purchase a Vision Acquisition Software license or a Vision Development Module Runtime license for the computer?

Solution

Computers that will not run the executable utilizing IMAQdx functions do not need a Vision Acquisition Software or Vision Development Module Runtime license. The installation process will not be affected if a deployment system does not have a Vision Acquisition Software license or a Vision Development Module Runtime license.

Additional Information

Computers without a Vision Acquisition Software or a Vision Development Module Runtime license can run the IMAQdx executable, but they will return an error when IMAQdx functions are called. The IMAQdx VIs will return error -1074360282, indicating that the IMAQdx license is not activated.
