Issue Details

  • I am interested in using a multidevice task to synchronize my hardware, does M-Series DAQ support this?
  • I've used multiple boards of the same type in a single NI-DAQmx Task before, but I'm not able to do this with a new board I'm using. Why is this the case?
  • I have configured a multidevice task in LabVIEW for my PXI(e)-62xx device, but receive error -201426. What causes this?

Solution

No, M-Series does not support multidevice tasks. Generally, devices that produce error -201426 do not support multidevice tasks.

For information on synchronizing M-Series devices, refer to M Series Synchronization with LabVIEW and NI-DAQmx .

For a list of device families which do support multi-device tasks, refer to the DAQmx Help Documentation regarding Multidevice Tasks

Additional Information

Other families of boards such Switch and Relay modules have the same restrictions of only a single board per DAQmx Task.
