Issue Details

I have a motor with an encoder and I would like to read the motor position based on encoder pulses using NI-9375 module. Can I count encoder pulses using NI-9375 module? Are there any examples?

Solution

The angular position of a motor or a shaft can be determined by counting the pulses generated by an encoder. However, the NI-9375 is not a suitable C series module for counter measurements. You will need a module that has counter functionality. You can find our C series counter modules here .

Additional Information

In case your module doesn't have a counter, you may also use the counters on-board the cDAQ chassis you are using. Be sure to check if your module supports accessing those counters
