PXI(e) Controller Caught in a Boot Loop

Issue Details

My PXI(e) controller is caught in a boot loop, I am unable to use it.
  • How can I back up the data present in the controller?
  • How can I solve this issue?


Re-installation of Operating system 

The controller caught in the Boot Loop is a reflection of a software error. A re-installation of the operating system or restoring to default factory conditions will solve the problem.


Extracting Useful data 

Follow the below steps to extract any important data present in the controller before formatting -

  • Boot the controller's operating system into safe mode to check if the controller can access the data and avoid the boot loop.

  • Connect the hard-disk of the controller to another PC via the SATA cable to access the important data files and back it up.  

Periodic Back-up of Controller DATA
