Error 2765 Developing a Program in Visual Studio™ and NI-488.2

Issue Details

I have installed Visual Studio™  2017, the Installer Projects tool and NI-488.2 version 17.6, driver. I had compiled the project into a .msi install package. When I try to run the .msi install  I am receiving the Error:2765 "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing" developing a program in Visual Studio".​
 


 

Solution

This is a known issue with the MStudioCommon2012 merge module that is shipped with the NI-488.2 17.6 (DAQmx 17.6)
