Issue Details

I have a USB 6212 and will be using the AI channels to take a measurement that is within specification for the device. Is there any over voltage protection for the device in the case of an unexpected event (e.g. a voltage spike)?

Solution

Yes, there is over voltage protection for the device which corresponds to 30V when the device is turned on and 20V when the device is turned off, on up to two AI pins. However, also be mindful of the maximum over voltage current which corresponds to 20mA per AI pin. We recommend you take every pre-caution the device remains within the recommended specifications at all times.
