NI GNSS Simulation Toolkit 3.0

Issue Details

I have installed the NI GNSS Simulation Toolkit 3.0 on my Windows 7 system but am unable to see the palette in LabVIEW 2017. How can I resolve this issue?

To be able to access the GNSS Simulation Toolkit's palette and example files in LabVIEW you need to ensure that all the required dependencies have been installed prior to the installation of the GNSS toolkit in the below mentioned order -
  1. Install LabVIEW 2017 32 bit.
  2. Install NI-RFSG 17.0. An older version of NI-RFSG drivers will not work with LabVIEW 2017 since support for LabVIEW 2017 was added in version 17.0 of RFSG. Refer to the ReadMe file of the driver for further information.
  3. Install NI-Sync 17.0.
  4. Install NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit 17.0.
  5. Reboot the system whenever prompted to do so. You can verify the installation of the drivers and the Modulation toolkit by running the examples for them. This will ensure that none of the dependencies have been missed.
  6. After this, install the GNSS Simulation Toolkit 3.0.
You should now be able to access the functions palette and the examples for the toolkit.

Additional Information

Other suggested troubleshooting step -
  • If you observe a broken run arrow in an example from the GNSS toolkit, mass compile the example folder of RF Toolkits located in the C drive of the system. Close LabVIEW and open a fresh instance of the software.
