Solution

The software needed to use and program Kistler Type 5171A are as follow:
  1. LabVIEW
  2. LabVIEW Real-Time Module
  3. LabVIEW FPGA Module
  4. NI CompactRIO Device Drivers
  5. Kistler's 5171A Driver Package V1.0

Additional Information

In order to integrate the KI-5171A module in your own application, the API blocks are available at the FPGA level. The blocks are used to control and acquire data from the module. For more information, please check the Quick Start Guide 5171A manual available for download at Kistler's 5171A product page.

One you have downloaded the Kistler Driver copy the entire contents of the "Kistler Driver" folder to the location: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW20...\Targets\NI\FPGA\cRIO\other\ 
Ensure that you add the driver contents to the LabVIEW version that you intent to use the driver in.
This is necessary for the module to be visible in LabVIEW.
