Issue Details

I have an NI USRP I wish to program using LabVIEW. But I am running LabVIEW on a Linux based system. Are the USRP APIs available in the LabVIEW for Linux environment (as in Windows) to do host based programming ?

It is not possible to program the NI USRP using LabVIEW in Linux because the USRP drivers do not have support for Linux. For doing so, a different set of tools has to be used which include the UHD drivers and Software Development Kits such as GNU Radio.

Additional Information

  • National Instruments USRP devices are not supported using GNU Radio. However, they are compatible with GNU Radio with different procedures for different categories of devices. Follow this link to learn more about Using NI USRP Devices with UHD and GNU Radio.
  • NI USRP can be programmed with LabVIEW Communications running on a Linux Real-time target.
