Issue Details

I am using National Instruments Vision Development Module, and the Region of Interest (ROI) Tool icons are too small. When I resize the button, the icon does not get larger. How can I make the ROI Tool icons larger?

Solution

As of LabVIEW 2017, you are unable to modify the ROI Tool icons to be larger. However, you can create your own custom Boolean buttons and change the Image Display ROI Tool based on your custom Boolean button press. To set up the main functions you will need, follow the steps below:

  1. Create your own custom buttons. You can add images to the Boolean controls if desired.
  2. Create a reference to the Image control/indicator by right-clicking the control/indicator and selecting Create >> Reference
  3. Place a Property Node and wire the Image Control reference into the Reference terminal.
  4. In the Property Node, select the Current ROI Tool
    1. If the Property Node is set to read the Current ROI Tool, right click the node and select Change All to Write

  5. Depending on your current programming architecture, you can utilize setting the Current ROI Tool in various places based on your button presses. You could set the Current ROI Tool in an Event Structure or a Case Structure. You also have the option to set the Current ROI tool from a Front Panel Enum Control. This implementation detail is up to your programming logic.
