Issue Details

I have a WSN node connected to a WSN gateway. How can I change the sample rate of my WSN node?

Solution

The answer to your question will depend on if you are using I/O variables or programming the node directly.

I/O variables (drag and drop variables from the project)

The parameter that configures the sample rate is "Sample Interval". You can find it by following the steps below:
  1. Open up your project.
  2. Expand the gateway.
  3. Right-click the WSN node and select properties.
  4. Click the Node tab, and change the Sample Interval as desired.

Programming the node directly (with a VI on the node)

The parameter that configures the sample rate is "Sample Interval". You configure the Sample Interval with a Config Node.

You can also configure the Sample Interval Mode, which has the following possible inputs:
  • Host Driven—Specifies that the host computer for the WSN network controls the sample interval.
  • VI Driven—Specifies that the VI on the WSN node controls the sample interval.
For more information on how to program the node directly, please see The LabVIEW Wireless Sensor Network Module - Under the Hood.
