Issue Details

I am using the LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) module, and would like to record data from my variables in a Citadel database on a remote server. How can I accomplish this?

Solution

Follow the steps below to configure logging of data to a remote Citadel database:
  1. Ensure that both the local and server computers have a copy of LabVIEW and the LabVIEW DSC module, and are on the same network.
  2. From LabVIEW on the local computer, right-click on the library containing the variables in your project and select Properties
  3. In the Properties window, select DSC Settings: Database
  4. Ensure that Enable Data Logging is selected
  5. Select Browse... in the Log to computer section to select the remote server where you would like to store data
  6. Select Browse... in the Database name section, and again select the remote server where you want to store data. Expand the server name to access the databases listed underneath, and select the database you wish to log data to.
